Turning frowns upside down

Oh hey, Mom.

It's me, Brynn.

We had a struggle bus kinda morning today. First, I thought it'd be fun to hide a single chocolate chip between my shirt and my jacket for a few hours. Neenee really hopes it didn't wreck my clothes. But it felt all cool and squishy in there! Oh, then, I dumped all of Dames' Cheerios. Not sure if I meant to or not. I'm still deciding. THEN, I found some way to manipulate my cup so that half of it came out on my pants! I was kinda proud of my ingenuity..., but Neenee said she was glad it was only water. But then, I was ticked at the world because, hello? My pants were wet!

Ugh.

So, as a distraction/reward/reset, Neenee said we were going to a park. And not just any park. Neenee says it's her very favorite park in all the land, and she wants me to show you, so you know:

I'll tell you all about it. First, you walk over a long bridge, and there's water! Then, me and Dames found this little house, like, first thing!

I was sold. I settled in and didn't really care WHAT else was at this dumb ole park! (Dames is all, Look over there! and I'm like, Nope.

See? Can you spy me in there, Mom? Dames and Neenee went to check out something else, but I stayed in the house and yelled, "DING DONG!" out the window!

Dames really wanted to do these crazy giant swings. I admired them, too, but when Neenee got all close, like she was just gonna put me in it or something, I changed my mind.

Stick with what you know, I tell ya! It's safer that way! (Dames, don't get us all killed.)

Oh, but this thing! It was this noisy, spinny thing with shapes hidden inside! I liked that.

And Dames made beautiful music. I actually did, too, but Neenee got a phone call and was lazy and didn't take a single photo of my artistry.

But remember the other day when I told you how brave I'm getting?? Just LOOK at me go!

! CRAZY, right??

Oh! And I nearly forgot this thing! We never totally figured it out, but it plays music, and so we danced and pushed all the light-up buttons and had fun playing our totally made-up game!

But perhaps the best indication that I was REALLY having a good time was this--
(Not the small, round chocolate smudge on my shirt, but the story that follows...)
I'd run up to Neenee, say, "He-whoa!" and then real fast, I'd yell "Bye-bye!" I just kept taking off running, here, there and everywhere! Neenee could never catch me!

Ooooh, I bet Jack could burn some energy here, Mom. Let's go back!
