Hiding from the rain

Oh hey, Mom.

It's me, Brynn.

Guess what we forgot to tell Neenee. That I super-duper hate thunder! Anyway, I think she figured it out quickly enough. And if you wonder what I'm doing later, we pretended we were the trees, grass, plants and flowers all getting a drink from the rain. It goes like this, "gunk, gunk, gunk, gunk, gunk! Ahhhhhhh!" (P.S. That's "ahhhh" like my thirst is quenched, not like I'm screaming from drinking acid rain.)

Anyway, for safety reasons (periodic thunder, duh), we stayed close. VERY close.

We did a lot of reading today, but man! I could hear the literary gem about babies at bathtime--oh, I don't know--several thousand times!

But after the 207th dramatic reading of the bathtub classic, Dames wanted to do something else. He got out this bright game with colors and pictures of ice cream 'n' stuff.

I immediately recognized it as Twister and got myself all over that board!

But, there was no time! With a break in the rain, Neenee decided we'd make a quick Kroger run. Dames and I were delighted to do the driving.

I was like this, Beep, beep! We got TWO people steering ONE car here! Look alive, shoppers!

Wouldn't you know it. It was POURING by the time we finished about 15 minutes later! Neenee enjoys jogging in the rain, holding a whining toddler in each arm, but some Kroger worker decided he'd help with her workout and carry the bags.

Oh, and guess what! After I made quick work of my hot dog and a pile of jawberries, I straight up lifted a triangle from Dames' PB plate! Polished that little sandwich off in NO time! Mmmmm, other people's Oatnut is sooooo good!
