Oh hey, Mom.
It's me, Brynn.
Today was just meh. Know what I mean when I say that? It was just wet and gray outside, so we didn't do much of anything, and I looked up at Neenee a lot today and just sternly told her, "Up."
Perhaps you're familiar with this look.
Anyway, thank the good Lord for this blue couch, ya know? Where would me and Dames catch up on all our news if Neenee ever puts it back in the play room?!? (It's not as adorable as he thinks it is when he pretends to sleep when I'm clearly still talking. Who taught him that? PETE?!)
Oh, what? No, you didn't interrupt me. I was just trying to get some peace and quiet for a little relaxing read. Come on in. Just don't touch anything.
Neenee thought it was pretty cute when me and Dames "read" together. (She told me I had to put read in quotation marks. Obviously we're really reading. But it's maybe more like we're talking about stuff we see in the pictures or any parts of the story we have in our memory banks. And no, my book is not upside down. It's a printing error.)
Oh! I found my favorite bathtime book that Neenee hid! Ahhh, I missed that one.
Anyway, Neenee wants me to tell you--I don't know WHY. It was NOT that funny--about when the tide turned today. I told you it was just a meh day. I did a fair bit of whining and asking for up. But Neenee was thinking I'd maybe pooped again, so she asked a few times. I said, "no" each time. Then outta nowhere, Dames bent over and stuck his sniffer right up against my pants and announced to the whole world, "Smells like poop to me!"
Neenee laughed and laughed and then laughed some more. Even though I was mortally wounded with embarrassment, I laughed, too. And Dames, reading his audience's call for an encore, repeated the butt check about a bazillion times. After that, we played some of the "He-whoa, Bye-bye" game, and I was in a good mood!
Oh, and P.S. I totally pooped.
